The story begins two years after a car accident that leaves Kelsey Heath blind. Kelsey, who was driving at the time, is left bitter and resentful. She claims that the people in her life are “a wall of eyes” and hate her, and she believes someone is trying to kill her. When she is nearly killed by a morphine overdose, Inspector Sands investigates the wealthy, dysfunctional Heath family and uncovers a conspiracy.
